What I have learned from COVID over these past 2 years is that fear and fatigue are the two things that we all have in common.
To the vaccinated(myself included) I see you. I see you wanting to do the right thing. I see you are afraid of catching this virus when the outcome could be no symptoms, to a mild cold, to being extremely ill, and possibly death.
To the unvaccinated I see you. You are wanting to do the right thing as well. Some see themselves as whistleblowers and want to raise awareness of what they feel is not safe. You don’t want this virus either but getting a vaccine you don’t trust is even scarier.
I take no issue with anyone's stance as I recognize our differing opinions are rooted in fear.
For every article that talks about the safety of vaccines, there is another that talks about the risks.
Where do you find your source of truth?
We are all scared and we are each handling our fear the best way we know-how.
We need to find compassion amongst the chaos.
They say to avoid conflict to not discuss politics or religion. I'm going to add COVID vaccines to that list.
Every time someone discusses COVID vaccines with me, I feel like l need a nap afterward.
Is anyone else exhausted by this conversation that leads us nowhere?
We’ve all made our personal decisions in where we stand in regards to vaccines. I don’t need to justify my reasoning and I don’t need anyone else to justify theirs.
My recommendation for everyone through this holiday season is to make your home a
“NO COVID TALK” zone.
Let’s start 2022 with acceptance, it’s so much easier and the outcome is always successful.
